Here I sit, looking at my old book, ‘Angel Blood’, the next project that FTP wants to bring to Kindle.
‘Angel Blood’ was the first of my ‘intelligent’ thrillers and the first work that brought me into conflict with agents and publishers. They wanted a big ‘airport’ novel: 400 pages that looked light enough for people to buy believing they’d finish it on a transatlantic flight, or – worse still – in an afternoon at the beach. A story narrated by an ‘alien’ and dealing with the psychological after effects of genetic mutation wasn’t what they were looking for, especially when I insisted on writing in the first person present tense. Still I think it’s one of my best works, so I’m tidying up the formatting and delivering it to the desk of the nice FTP people…

Sounds very interesting!
That is the thing I love about Kindle, it opens up to “nontraditional” books. So now I don’t have to simply choose between the stories that publishers tell me I want to read. Let me know when it’s done!
