Forged Truth is on a mission to produce high-quality fiction without the gimmicks, fiction that relies on its content from authors whose voices still have something to say about the human condition.
We favour writers with experience of life, over those with creative writing degrees, but for us, what really counts is the text not the hype.
Our first publication was ‘The Typewriterists’ by David N. Martin (winner of the Norman King Award for Fiction 2025). It is now available on Amazon. Our next will be the sequel, ‘The Modern Type’, which we think maybe David’s masterpiece (we’ve seen the beta-draft; it’s fantastic, it’s epic.) Forged Truth maintains a keen relationship with Leicester Writers Club (one of our founders was the Club President in 2022/23). We believe all writers should have a solid support base and access to fellow writers who give honest and insightful feedback on works in progress. It’s pretty obvious from many published books currently floundering on bookshelves around the country that this is not a service that many publishers are providing to their authors any more.
